METHOD TO CONTROL BRAKE(S) OF ESCALATOR OR MOVING SIDEWALK Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

Abstract RU 2253605 C2

FIELD: moving staircase or sidewalk control methods.

SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method time deceleration values are recorded in zones or areas of memory for preset values of regulator. Using the regulator, preset and actual values are compared periodically and, basing of results of comparison, brake or brakes are controlled, irrespective of load by means of brake electromagnet acting onto brake to provide preset linear deceleration. Actual values of speed of drive or drives are periodically or constantly supplied to regulator. Said values are determined by speed pickups.

EFFECT: increased efficiency.
