FIELD: special-destination fluids.

SUBSTANCE: coolant fluid used in cooling systems of internal combustion engines and as heat carrier in heat-exchangers is based on ethylene glycol or water-glycol solution (from ethylene glycol production) and contains, wt %: benzoic acid 1.28-3.40m sodium hydroxide 0.56-1.60, sodium nitrite 0.03-0.18, sodium metasilicate nonahydrate 0.05-0.45, sodium tetraborate 0.45-1.35, benzotriazole or tolylotriazole 0.05-0.27, colorant 0.001-0.004, water 1.5-45.0, and ethylene glycol to 100%. Fluid can optionally contain up to 0.001% of foam suppressor.

EFFECT: improved corrosion protein of ferrous and nonferrous metals and reduced foaming.
