FIELD: cross-country gas pipelines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to industrial automation and it can be used to control shutoff valves of pipelines. Proposed device contains electromagnets in explosion-proof shell, pneumatic valves and panel with channels to let in(and) working gas to ball cock drive. Device is furnished additionally with ball cock automatic emergency closing device in form of pneumatic cylinder with calibrating valve sensitive to rate of pressure drop in cross-country gas pipeline. If pressure drop rate exceeds preset value, pneumatic cylinder operates and moving the rod, acts onto spring mechanism which cuts in ball cock closing pneumatic valve, thus preventing intensive gas release into ambient medium from damaged gas pipeline and decreases or prevents damage to ambient medium.
EFFECT: provision of automatic closing of ball cock in case of pipeline breaking.
