FIELD: hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water supply, particularly, to channel water intakes and it can be used for diversion from rivers under medium or heavy conditions caused by action of interwater ice in pre-freezing period with danger of deep freezing of river in cold season on sections of intensive diversion. Proposed diversion unit includes channel water intake trash racks, gravity or siphon water conduits connecting it with bank screen well of combined or separated layout, low-head dike with complete spanning of river channel. Diversion unit is furnished with heat exchanger installed in cross section line of bottom bank lower than section of location of channel water intake made in form of tubular air conduit connected by end face parts with different height shafts, higher shaft being equipped with turnable gate and external insulation and anchors vertical installed on said section line.
EFFECT: improved reliability of diversion facilities at low water in river, reduced labor input and power consumption.
