FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for generation of electric energy by means of dam hydroelectric station. The latter contains dam and station unit made symmetrical relative to longitudinal axis orientated to river flow. Station unit is provided with water intake with protection elements, two-sided power and tailrace conduits, building of hydroelectric station with aggregate units with two-sided inlet and outlet sides centrally symmetrical relative to vertical axes. Centrally symmetrical passage ducts of aggregate units are arranged between sites. With power and tailrace conduits and building of hydroelectric power station arranged after dam, water intake of station unit is located in dam. Power conduits are made in form of galleries hermetically insulated from lower pond, and tailrace conduits, in form of channels opening into lower pond. If station unit is located before dam, its water intake is connected with power conduits which are connected to inlet sites of aggregate units. Outlet sites are connected with tailrace conduits made in form of galleries hermetically insulated from upper pond. Dam is provided with drain overflow arches opening into lower pond and made symmetrically relative to longitudinal axis.
EFFECT: increased power output.
