FIELD: methods for determination of the protective properties of the individual protection means, mainly of head helmets.
SUBSTANCE: a blow is inflicted by a body with a normalized energy on an unprotected object mock-up filled with liquid, and a blow by a body with a definite energy on an object mock-up protected by a means of individual protection. After the blow the pressure in the liquid caused by the blow is registered, and the obtained results are compared. Additionally registered is the positive pressure pulse in the liquid and the duration of the positive pulse, the positive pressure pulse-to-pulse duration ratio is calculated for each blow, and the obtained values are used for comparison. Besides the comparison is conducted with due account made for the correction factors calculated with the use of the respective mathematical dependences.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of registration of the measured parameters and the quality of performed operations in determination of objective parameters characterizing the degree of severity of craniocerebral injuries at impact actions on the projected object.
