FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed electrode has spiral formed from at least one high-melting metal wire twisted in spiral ones or many times and coated with emissive layer. Emissive layer is covered with layer of metal, such as tungsten, 3 to 6 atoms thick.
EFFECT: reduced rate of emissive layer consumption, enhanced service life of light source.
