FIELD: apparatus for applying liquids or other fluent materials to surfaces, particularly for covering outer surfaces of hollow cylinders with polymeric materials.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises smooth-wall rod coaxially installed in cylindrical article cavity. Device is arranged in cylindrical body so that slot-like gap is created between side article wall and body wall covered with release polymeric coating. Body comprises upper and lowed closures. Upper closure is formed as pressure washer with compacting bush having built-in rod to which piston, upper and lower polymeric adjusting pads are connected. Lower closure has bored groove communicated with the slot-like gap.

EFFECT: possibility to apply viscous polymeric substances, prevention of low-viscosity liquid usage, prevention of additional polymeric consumption for coating shrinkage compensation, prevention of air cavities forming in the coating, provision of uniform coating thickness and elimination of additional smoothing operation, increased ability of cylindrical body removal during device disassembling due to release coating forming.
