FIELD: manufacture of rolling rolls by centrifugal casting of high alloy cast iron.
SUBSTANCE: metal of working layer whose volume consists of 0.95 ± 0.05 of volume of roll working layer is poured into casting mold rotating around vertical axis. Then metal is soaked until achieving temperature of its free surface corresponding to T sol + (10 - 15°C). Two batches of core metal are successively poured while directing metal directly on free surface of working layer to upper one third of roll barrel. Mass of each batch m 1,2 = 0.15 - 0.2 m wl where m1,2 - metal consumption of first and second core batches, t; m wl - metal consumption for working layer, t. Temperature of casting said layers T c1,2 = 0.98 - 0.99 T L w l (m w l / m 1,2)0,02 where T c1,2 - casting temperature of first and second batches of core metal, °C,T Lwl - liquidus temperature of working layer. Soaking for successive solidifying of intermediate layer is realized until free metal surface in mold achieves temperature T sol + (10 - 15°C) for working layer.
EFFECT: manufacture of high-quality rolls with working layer of high-chrome cast iron.
