FIELD: foundry. SUBSTANCE: applied to internal surface of ingot mold is heat-insulating layer whose thickness equals 3.0-7.0% of thickness of metal exterior layer. Metal of exterior layer is poured into mold rotating round its horizontal axis. Beginning from 10-15% of time from beginning of casting and ending 10-15% of time before casting ending; introduced into metal stream is flux in the amount equalling 1.5-2.5% of weight of cast iron of exterior layer. EFFECT: reduced reject caused by cracks, nonfusing or washing out of blank layers. 1 tbl
