FIELD: metallurgy of ferrous metals; methods of control of blast furnace smelting process.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes continuous determination of pressure differentials of gas and charge in zone of material flow, comparison of radii of area of material flow and working profile of furnace at distance of 1.1-3.0 of height of bosh from axis of air lances; if different in radii of zone of material flow and working profile is equal to zero, coefficient of active weight of charge in upper half of shaft is reduced by 0.02-0.10.
EFFECT: increased productivity at reduced overhaul period.
