FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method involves creation of slag lining mixture consisting of iron ore, agglomerate and pellets in ratio of (1÷15):(40÷94):(5÷45) respectively. At lining of furnace shaft with high heat conducting materials the obtained slag lining mixture is charged to the specified portion of charging cycle, thus obtaining the primary melt with iron oxide (16-30)% in quantity of 20-30% of the weight of slag lining mixture. Charging of slag lining mixture is completed in 18-72 hours after the allowable heat load on coolers of blast furnace shaft is obtained. When slag lining mixture is being supplied, theoretical burning temperature in combustion zone of blast furnace is decreased by 30-80°C.
EFFECT: reducing the coke and natural gas consumption and increasing the furnace efficiency.
