FIELD: metallurgy; treatment of steel in "furnace-ladle" unit.

SUBSTANCE: treatment of molten steel feed in teeming ladle in "furnace-ladle" unit is performed with the aid of charge containing lime, slag of secondary aluminum process and stabilized dump slag of ferrovanadium production process. Molten steel feed and part of oxidized furnace slag are preliminarily deoxidized in teeming ladle. Stabilized dump slag of ferrovanadium production process is introduced into deoxidized metal-and-slag melt in the amount of (M) satisfying the following relationship: M : k.m, where m is mass of oxidized furnace slag contained in teeming ladle, kg; k=1.75-0.72 is empirical coefficient. Then lime is introduced.

EFFECT: low cost of steel due to reduced consumption of lime and reduction of time required for production of synthetic refinery slag; improved quality of steel; increased resistance of ladle lining.
