FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly to slaggy mixtures for treatment of liquid metal. Slaggy mixture on the basis of oxide elements of calcium, silicon, aluminium, iron, sodium, potassium additionally contains halogen compound of calcium, carbonate compounds of calcium, barium, strontium, restorative element at following ratio of components, wt %: calcium compounds overall: (CaO+CaCO3+CaF2) 40-70; oxide compounds of silicon SiO2 4-12; oxide compounds of aluminium Al2O3 0.5-5.0; oxide compounds of iron Fe2O3 0.2-0.8; oxide compounds of sodium and potassium (Na2O+K2O) 3-8; carbonate compounds overall (BaCO3+SrCO3) 1.2-18; restorative elements 0.5-25. In the capacity of restorative elements in slaggy mixtures there are used silicon, aluminium and carbon-bearing materials as together, as separately each or in different its combinations.
EFFECT: invention usage provides to increase efficiency of sulphur removing process from liquid metal by means of reduction of melting temperature and viscosity of slaggy mixtures.
