FIELD: valving engineering.
SUBSTANCE: seat comprises ring with a groove on the outer surface for receiving the seal of unmovable connection with the housing and ring groove. The ring groove faces the sealed surface of the spherical member and receives the first section of the ring unit. The second section of the ring unit is made for permitting it to be in a contact with the surface of the spherical member to be sealed. The ring unit has several ring bodies. Some of the ring bodies are made of a rigid material, e.g., metal. The other bodies are made of a soft material, e.g. graphite. The ring bodies of the second type are interposed between the ring bodies of the first type. The end ring bodies of minimum and maximum diameters are made of a rigid material. The ring unit is monolithic.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and simplified assembling.
