HOLSTER FOR FIREARM Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: accessories for carrying the hand firearm, in particular, aerosol device "UDAR" series-manufactured in Russia as a civil self-defense weapon.

SUBSTANCE: the device has a body open from the top, formed by a rear, leaser than the face one in the area, and two side plane-parallel in pairs walls, and a lower wall. Provision is made for a coupling catch attached to the rear wall for embracing from the top and at the front of the weapon inserted in the body, and a device for fastening the holster to the belt. The main feature of the offered weapon: the side walls are inclined to the rear wall so that the front projection of the body has the shape of a parallelogram, and the face and lower walls are made with central openings. In particular the angle of inclination of the side walls equals 70 +-10 deg; the openings have a width of 80+-5 mm, with provision of embracing by them of the weapon handle directly in the holster from the rear side; the rear wall is made two-stepped with formation of a stock at least 40 to 45 mm wide for placement of the thickened section and the trigger of the aerosol device "UDAR"; the device for fastening of the holster to the belt is made in the form of a U-shaped spring clamp; the body is made of semirigid, for example polymeric, material; the coupling catch is L-shaped in the frontal and U-shaped in the side projections, and installed on the upper edge of the rear wall of the body, made in its turn in the form of a T-shaped guide for forced motion of the catch on the guide.

EFFECT: optimized design of the holster (mainly belt one) from the

positions of its use for carrying and operative extraction of the

aerosol device "UDAR", excluding interception of the handle, operative fastening of the holster on the belt ( directly on the trousers waistband, skirt) and disconnection of it from the belt (waistband), provided (safety) high adaptability to manufacture and, respectively low cost.
