FIELD: ophthalmology, in particular, treatment of eyes.
SUBSTANCE: cutting instrument has flat working part with transverse cutting edge and side longitudinal guides protruding beyond cutting edge. Side longitudinal guides are adapted for engagement with forceps for correcting upper eyelid ptosis and are made in the form of thickened flat working part with cantilevered end portions and central shafts. Central shafts are arranged in plane offset relative to surface of flat working part by value at least equal to 1/4 the thickness of one guide. Transverse cutting edge has single-sided sharpening having beveled portion arranged at side of working part surface opposed to surface with offset guides. Such construction provides for improved engagement of working part of cutting instrument with tissues under operation.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of operative intervention owing to engagement with other instruments commonly used for correcting of upper eyelet ptosis.
