FIELD: forest industry, applicable for cross-cutting of trimmed logs into assortments.

SUBSTANCE: the unit has a trestle with a means of feeding the wood raw material, sawing assembly made in the form of pendulum saw units installed alternately of the left-hand and right-hand modifications, roller conveyer, transverse conveyers-trippers, forest accumulators for assortments and a waste conveyer. The means of feeding the wood raw material is made as a universal manipulator, in which the swivel beam with the equipment is installed on a hydraulically operated hoist for changing the height of its arrangement relative to the ground surface, both ends of swivel beam a provided with retractable telescopes, and the capturing-cutting device is made of two capturing-cutting heads installed at the ends of these telescopes.
