SUBSTANCE: invention relates to timber industry and may be used to cut knots on trees and pulling three-length material for further crosscutting into sections. System of transverse cutting of tree trunks, including receiving dock, cutting attachments, roller bed, transverse and external conveyors and universal hydraulic manipulator with rotary beam arranged on hydraulic lift, where pulling mechanism is mounted, as well as gripping and cutting device from two heads installed at the ends of telescopes. Hydraulic lift is installed hingedly with the possibility of rotation by means of hydraulic cylinder along longitudinal directions of rotary beam. Hydraulic lift of universal hydraulic manipulator is arranged as additionally rotary in horizontal plane around its vertical axis by means of its installation together with hinged joint and hydraulic cylinder on common rotary platform, which moves on stationary base.

EFFECT: invention reduces time for sorting of sections.
