FIELD: laser engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method used for continuous-wave supersonic gas laser with active medium based on working molecules of hydrogen fluorine (HF) and deuterium fluorine (DF) includes continuous supply of fluorine-containing oxidant, fuel gas, and inert thinner into gas-generator combustion chamber to obtain high-temperature mixture incorporating fluorine atoms which is fed together with cold inert thinner in the amount of minimum 50 volume percent of entire amount of thinner in laser to input parts of oxidizing nozzles and mixed up within these nozzles to form separate jets. Oxidizing gas produced in the process enables raising laser beam power by 2 - 3 times and specific power takeoff by 1. - 2.5 times.
EFFECT: optimized laser design, enhanced power of laser beam and specific power takeoff.
