METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT IN CASE OF ELONGATION AND PROLAPSE OF UTERUS IN WOMEN OF REPRODUCTIVE AGE Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, gynecology, surgery.

SUBSTANCE: one should descend uterus with pincers, perform amputation of uterine cervix followed by applying sutures and forming an external mouth of the womb. One should additionally fulfill anterior colporrhaphy, dissect cardinal ligaments to be further sutured up to anterior wall of uterine cervix, isolate a cuff dorsally against the cervix, dissect cervical tissue wedge-likely for 9 and 3 o'clock, then cuff's mucosa should be dissected in this projection. One should treat a stump by connecting cervical mucosa together with vaginal mucosa so, that stump's wound surface is covered with vaginal mucosa. Operation should be finished with posterior colpoperineoplasty. The innovation enables to prevent pathological deforamation of uterine cervix, form the stump being similar to cervix and improve regeneration due to bringing together the edges of wound mucosa.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of therapy.
