FIELD: woodworking.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical processing of wood and can be used at woodworking and paper-and-pulp industries for processing softwood barking wastes to produce bast-fiber semifinished product, tanning extract, and process steam. Process comprises separating barking waste into bark-wood and bast-fiber fractions while simultaneously grinding them, combusting bark-wood fraction, fourfold water extraction and simultaneous heat treatment of bast-fiber fraction with hot water followed by grinding of tan waste for 4-8 min at the same temperature (80-90°C). Extraction and heat treatment of bast-fiber fraction resulting in pulping of material is performed in hydrodynamic apparatus at water duty 8:1 and 80-90°C for 20 min (one cycle duration is 5 min).
EFFECT: increased process efficiency and simplified technology.
