FIELD: instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method and device can be used for finding coordinates of objects rotating along the same axis at high speed. Method is based upon measurement of angular speeds of motion of object, it also includes finding of angular position of platform relatively case of object, computing value and forming of signals to control turn and stabilization of platform as well as correction of its position by means of stabilization engine. Correcting setting signal is formed on the base of angular speed around axis of roll when taking measured values of linear accelerations into account by three - and angular speeds by two coordinates axes of platform which do not coincide with axis of quick rotation of object. When forming signal which controls turn and stabilization of platform and correction of its position by means of stabilization engine, the signal is correcting setting signal is added with proportional component of signal controlling stabilization engine in the mode of positioning or with proportional and integral components of control signal - in the mode of platform stabilization and control. Method is realized by means of in-roll stabilized platform for objects rotating at high speed. Platform has single-axis gimbal suspension having no turn limitations, installed in the case of object. There are stabilization engine and platform angular position detector mounted relatively case, units for measuring linear accelerations for three mutually orthogonal coordinate axes of platform, digital computer and angular speed meters made in form of fiber-optic or mechanical gyroscopes. Errors being proportional to the first and to the second degree of free fall acceleration (g and g²) are excluded and mode of correction and widened range of measurement of angular speeds and linear accelerations are provided.

EFFECT: improved precision of operation; higher degree of stabilization.
