FIELD: evaporation of solutions for separation of crystallizing and scale-forming salts.
SUBSTANCE: proposed evaporator includes tubular heater with upper and lower tube sheets, inlet and outlet solution chambers, separator connected to heater by means of flash-off tube and circulating tube and unit for prevention of sedimentation of crystals in heater tubes which is mounted in inlet solution chamber. Novelty of invention consists in form of deposition prevention unit made as shell having shape of inverted truncated cone located coaxially relative to lower solution inlet chamber. One more shell may be located coaxially to said shell which is also has form of inverted truncated cone. Upper edge of deposit prevention unit shall be located at distance of 0.3-0.7 of diameter of tubular heater from lower tube sheet. Lower edges of shells may lie in one plane. Height of shell is equal to 0.5-1.5 of difference of diameters of heater and circulating tube. Height of inner shell is more than or is equal to height of outer shell; solid angle of inner shell is lesser than that of outer shell. Both shells may be provided with cylindrical part located in outlet end of circulating tube.
EFFECT: smooth distribution of solution in tubes; enhanced intensity; increased productivity; enhanced operational reliability; reduced power requirements.
