FIELD: medicinal microbiology.

SUBSTANCE: method involves Marten's solid nutrient agar-medium at pH 9.0 with Nile sky blue sulfate as indicator and emulsified chicken fat as substrate taken in concentrations 1.0-1.2 mg and 1.0-1.5 ml, respectively, per 100 ml of medium. Seeds are incubated with indicated medium for 48 h at temperature 37°C. Toxigenic cholera vibrios without lipase activity form a microlawn stained for sky blue color as a medium. In the presence of lipase activity typical for atoxigenic (hemolytic) strains of choleric vibrios a microlawn is stained for yellow or bottle-green color on sky blue background of the nutrient medium. Method provides standardization with simultaneous simplifying of its realization. Invention can be used in microbiological studies for evaluation of epidemic importance.

EFFECT: improved method for differentiation of strains.
