FIELD: spacecraft protective devices; protection of inner cavities of spacecraft mains against external action after uncoupling surface part of detachable joint.

SUBSTANCE: proposed device has cover with elastic seal and support mounted in its center, as well as cover drive made in form of articulated cylinder and spring-loaded rod with roller at its end. Spherical surface of said roller is engageable with segment secured on plate. Cylinder is provided with sphere, pushers, bearing projection and limiter. Sphere is mounted in mating spherical hole of support. Spring-loaded pushers are located on free end of cylinder and are engageable with cover by their spherical tips. Bearing projection may be engageable with support when cover is in the open position; it is located on cylinder on opposite side from pushers relative to sphere. Slot on the surface of rod is engageable with limiter over outer surface of cylinder. Rod is positively moved on side of free end of cylinder. Cover is provided with clamp engageable with outer surface of cylinder. Support is mounted on cover and provision is made for regulating the roller position relative to segment when cover is in closed position. Cover may be engageable with part of detachable joint which is mating relative to plate.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability; ease in operation; reduced mass.
