FIELD: mechanical engineering; heating of liquid by steam.
SUBSTANCE: proposed jet liquid heater contains active nozzle, intake chamber, preliminary mixing chamber with steam and water supply branch pipes inside which vortex generator is mounted made in form of manifold with nozzles connected with water supply branch pipes. Working edge of vortex generator is installed at a distance from steam supply branch pipe found from formula L=(R-r)/tg(α/2) where R is radius of working edge of vortex generator; r is inner radius of steam supply branch pipe; α is steam jet opening angle. Inlet part of nozzle is connected by pipelines with valves with outlet part of heater and vortex generator.
EFFECT: simplified design, enlarged operating capabilities of jet liquid heater.
