FIELD: armaments, applicable in striking-type firing mechanisms of automatic weapon.

SUBSTANCE: according to the invention, the trigger mechanism, having lugs on the outer tail of the striker using as its firing pin shoulder and its self-timer shoulder, provision is made for an assembly used as a striker retarder, and a control member installed for disengagement of the striker retarder for restoration of the required high rate of fire, use is made of the effect of friction retardation at engagement of the working surfaces of the side pin of the striker tail and the transverse pin in the slot of the side wall of the weapon automatics box, which ensures retardation of the striker operation, the control member for the striker retarder is made for control of it by means of the shooter's thumb.

EFFECT: provided condition of fire both at a high rate and at a slow down rate.
