FIELD: fire-fighting equipment, particularly fixed aqueous fire-extinguishing devices, namely hydrants installed, for instance, in wells.
SUBSTANCE: fire hydrant is made as hollow riser with shutoff valve and control mechanism installed inside the riser. Control mechanism is formed as threaded drive performing reciprocal movement. Shutoff valve is located below the seat. The seat is bush made of corrosion-resistant material pressed into the riser. Lower part of hollow riser has lower flange adapted to install the hydrant on fire support. Pouring orifices used to discharge water from the riser after shutoff valve closing are arranged in the bush and lower riser flange and located in common line. Check valve is installed at pouring orifice of the hydrant. Hinged lid has elastic sealing means. Hydrant comprises extension portion located between upper riser flange and nipple. Extension portion is provided with rod having lower end engaging hydrant pin and fixed by centralizers in extension portion so that a gap is formed in-between to facilitate rod connection with pin during extension portion mounting. Check valve has body, diaphragm, piston, sealing means, outlet orifice and air cup.
EFFECT: possibility to change hydrant height during operation thereof without pipeline disconnection.
