FIELD: corrosion protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of metals against corrosion for use in oil production, petroleum processing, and chemical industries. Method comprises contacting iron-containing surfaces with effective amount of inhibitor, in particular selected from isothiazolin compounds of general formula:
, wherein R1 is saturated radical with carbon number from 1 to 8 and R2 and R3 represent hydrogen or chlorine atom.
EFFECT: enlarged assortment of corrosion inhibitors, reduced consumption of inhibitor, and improved environmental condition.
