FIELD: measurement technology; electro-optic methods of inspection of parameters of disperse media.
SUBSTANCE: method is based upon determining of distribution of drops in size at the points of image of flame's crossed by laser plane. Radiation is generated at the same wavelength and radiation at the other wavelength is generated additionally to form two-colored laser light plane with mutually perpendicular directions of polarization along any color component. Flame to be tested is illuminated with the color component at pulse mode. Intensity of fluorescence of dissipated fuel and of components of light dissipated by drops of light are measured at mutual perpendicular planes of polarization at the points of image flame's cross-section made by laser plane. Parameters characterizing dispersivity of dissipated fuel are determined.
EFFECT: improved truth of data; widened abilities of realization of the method; reduced experimental time.
