FIELD: well drilling equipment and processes, namely design of drilling column member such as drilling or heavy drilling tube, extension pipe or washing tube.

SUBSTANCE: according to first variant of invention shaped member is inserted to outer cylinder and placing core having predetermined non-round profiled surface in shaped tubular member; applying pressure to annular gap between cylinder and tubular member. According to second variant of invention pressure is applied to inner side of tubular member which is arranged inside shaped member. Drilling column member shaped according to invention has constant thickness of wall with non-round inner and outer cross sections.

EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of drilling due to prevention of sticking members of drilling column, lowered cost of making drilling column member.
