FIELD: chemistry and fire-fighting, particularly low-temperature gas-generating sodium-based compositions for displacing powder in fire-extinguishing appliances, for inflating life-boats, emergency hoisting shells, emergency gas jacks and in means adapted for emergency closing well bores and for arranging special curtains in wells.
SUBSTANCE: gas-generation composition includes potassium nitrate, phenol-formaldehyde novolac, basic magnesium carbonate, melamine and urotropin taken in predetermined amounts.
EFFECT: increased performance properties, widened range of application, improved mechanical characteristics and specific gas-generation capacity, prevention of toxic composition emitting during manufacturing.
