FIELD: fire extinguishing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of fire extinguishing, namely, to compositions, the combustion of which produces a fire extinguishing gas or a mixture of gases that do not contain ozone-depleting substances. The invention can be used both in gas fire extinguishing devices and in devices using gas or a mixture of gases to create pressure inside a tank, a module for displacing a fire extinguishing agent: powder, water, aqueous solutions and other fluid substances or compositions. The gas generating composition contains a gas generating agent, potassium nitrate and novolak phenol-formaldehyde resin as a combustible binder. As a gas generating agent, metal oxalate with variable valence is used in the following ratio of components, wt.%: metal oxalate with variable valence 32.0-70.0; potassium nitrate 25.0-54.0; novolac phenol-formaldehyde resin 5.0-14.0.
EFFECT: invention provides an extension of the scope due to the possibility of using charges from this gas-generating composition not only for systems for displacing liquid and powdery substances, but also in fire extinguishing devices that generate fire extinguishing gas or a mixture of gases and are intended for extinguishing fires of class A2, B and C, as well as to activate the process of sol-gelation in the production of fast-hardening fire-extinguishing foam based on foamed silicic acid hydrogel.
