FIELD: gas thermal spraying; spraying for forming heat-resistant and heat protective coats; protection of parts working at high temperatures, erosion and aggressive media; aircraft turbo-machines and gas-turbine engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes plasma spraying of precoat from nickel-based metal alloy on surface of article followed by application of ceramic coat of zirconium oxide stabilized by yttrium oxide; forming of coat is performed by layer-by-layer plasma spraying. Layer-by-layer spraying of ceramic coat is performed in such way that last layer is made from powders with fraction lesser than that in previous layer and porosity of ceramic coat reduces over cross section towards upper layer whose porosity is <1%.
EFFECT: increased thermal fatigue strength and erosion resistance of ceramic coats from zirconium oxide stabilized by yttrium oxide.
