FIELD: material engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in metallurgy, the nuclear power, space and other industries where it is required to maintain the operability of parts when exposed to an aggressive environment with a temperature of 800-1000°C. The combined protective coating for the metal base contains an adhesive layer of tungsten, an inner protective ceramic layer of two layers of zirconium dioxide ZrO2 or gadolinium oxide Gd2O3 and an outer protective layer based on tungsten glass. The first layer of the inner protective ceramic layer is made with a thickness of 25-40 microns and is applied from a powder with a fraction of 40-100 microns, the second layer is made with a thickness of 20-35 microns and is applied from a powder with a fraction of 5-25 microns. The porosity of the plasma coating is reduced while maintaining the protective properties of the coating as a whole, as well as improving the cohesive and adhesive strength of the coating while simplifying the technology of creating a combined coating.
EFFECT: extension of the range of combined protective coatings.
