TRANSFORMABLE BODY PASSENGER CAR Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: automotive industry; passenger car bodies.

SUBSTANCE: proposed passenger car has body with roof installed for turning relative to body from initial position into final position and arranging in rear part of body, and luggage compartment with lid installed for turning in longitudinal plane of body in two opposite directions, first for arrangement of body roof in rear part of body, and second, to open luggage compartment. Luggage compartment is made in form of closed three-dimensional member. Space is formed between closed three-dimensional member and rear part of body to accommodate body roof. Closed three-dimensional member is installed in rear part of body for turning simultaneously with luggage compartment lid at arrangement of body roof in its rear part. Walls of rear part of body and opposite walls of closed three-dimensional member forming space accommodating body roof are arranged equidistantly relative to each other and are bent to follow outline of body roof.

EFFECT: provision of convenience in use of car luggage compartment.
