FIELD: transport engineering; spare wheel holders.

SUBSTANCE: proposed spare wheel holder is secured on hermetically sealed spaced supports, and its stop device is made in form of automatic lock containing catcher, retainer made for mating with catcher, latch made for fixing spare wheel holder through retainer by means of spring, handle for engaging and release of latch from retainer when opening the lock, pivot made for setting in position limiting travel of handle when opening the lock or into latch stopping position to prevent spontaneous opening when lock is closed.

EFFECT: provision of reliable holding when used on cross country vehicles, improved convenience in operation of stop device.
