FIELD: mining industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to freeing mine waters from petroleum products as well as from suspended materials, iron, calcium, and magnesium and may also be used for treating any waste waters containing similar pollutants. Method comprises filtration of mine water through sorbent in the form of sintered opoka. For this purpose, alumina opoka belonging to classes with d=0-0.5 mm and d=0.5-1 mm at 5:2 ratio is preliminarily calcined at 1000-1100°C.
EFFECT: ensured degree of purification from emulsified and dissolved petroleum products to maximum permissible concentrations and simultaneously removed other pollutants.
