FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to freeing water of heavy metal ions, rigidity salts, petroleum derivatives, phenol, surfactants, suspended substances, nitrites, nitrates, phosphates, chemical weed and pest killers, and other organics to reduce coloration and turbidity of water. For that aim naturally occurring sorbent is used, in particular silicon rock with following mixed mineral composition, wt %: opal-cristobalite 70-83, zeolite 3-11, clay constituent 6-17, and detritus material 4-10, which rock is subjected to mechanical activation for 15 to 60 min.
EFFECT: increased degree of water cleaning.
