FIELD: high-speed waveguide-optical communication, applicable in switchgears, communication links with spectral-wave seal of optical channels.

SUBSTANCE: the optical integral waveguide spectral-selective switch (IWSS) has two input and two output waveguides, two demultiplexers and two multiplexers, each being connected - to one of the input and to one of the output waveguides, made on planar optical spectral space and space spectral converters with the ends of the input and output waveguides placed respectively on the front and rear focal lines, forming on the rear outlet spherical space and front inlet space spherical converter focal lines system of focal areas of the respective channels, separated by spectral bands, two channel optical switches, each of them connects one mentioned focal area from the demultiplexers in one and the same spectral band with focal areas of the multiplexers in straight or cross direction corresponding to them. Two demultiplexers are made on one spherical space converter, and two multiplexers - on one space spectral converter with such a spectral resolution that the space intervals between the separated focal areas at the outputs of each demultiplexer and at the outputs of each multiplexer would exceed or be equal the dimensions of the focal areas. On each of these intervals near the focal area of the first demultiplexer and the multiplexer corresponding to it by selection of the distance between the end faces of the input waveguides on the front focal line of the optical spectral space converter the focal areas of the second demultiplexer and the multiplexer corresponding to it are positioned the focal areas of the second demultiplexer and the multiplexer corresponding to it with the preset degree of optical separation with a similar degree of optical separation.

EFFECT: reduced quantity of intersecting waveguides, loss, cross interferences and dimensions of the devices.
