FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: device can be used for measuring relative deformation of material during finishing operations. Device has input and output length pulse detectors mounted at input and output of processing area, pulse counters, electronic switch, delay unit and material's deformation calculator. Device is provided with seam detector and with unit for measuring speed of material. Output of seam detector is connected to rejection input of electronic switch and to nullification inputs of pulse counters as well as to input of unit for determining time delay. Second input of time delay unit is connected with output of unit for determining speed of motion of material and its input is connected with output of input material's length pulse detector.
EFFECT: improved precision of measurement.
