FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrumentation, in particular to methods of controlling defectiveness of insulation of winding wires. Technical result is achieved by the fact that when the input defective section of insulation passes through the defect sensor, the value of the pulse voltage drop across the resistor U1i= I0Rp and at the output of the stabilized current source (from value U0 to value U2i = I0(Rp + R1), where R1 is the resistance of the part of the winding wire enclosed between the connection point of the current stabilizer and the core wire at the point of the input defective section), formed defect pulses are supplied to the input of the total number of defects counter and to the counter of the total length of defects; when a defective section is formed in the insulation by elements of the winding machine, the voltage at the output of the current stabilizer changes in pulses during time t2i of defective section passage through machine elements to value U3i, amplitude U3i is recorded and compared with voltage U1i.
EFFECT: selective control of insulation defects applied on wire during production and during manufacture of windings.
