FIELD: ice breaking technology; breaking ice blockages in rivers.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes excitation of resonance flexural gravitational waves in ice which arise during motion of amphibian hovercraft over edge of ice blockage at resonance velocity; prior to excitation of waves, edge of ice blockage is subjected to high-temperature action.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of ice breaking.
