FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design on shutoff and drain devices and it can be used for mounting on containers designed for dispensing liquid or viscous-flow materials, such as glues, paints, detergents or cleaning substances, finely dispersed powders and for mounting on hoses, pipelines, etc. proposed device consists of hollow cap seal fitted inside. Seal is made in form of housing with axial channel and body of complex geometry. Lower part of housing is made ball-shaped which changes into upper extended part-nose. Flexible locking element is arranged inside axial channel of seal, being secured on base arranged out of limits of ball surface of seal housing. Other end of flexible locking element locks discharge hole of seal housing to form space between wall of axial channel of seal housing and side surface of flexible locking element. Cap is provided with ring cavity in its upper part inside which forms space for ball part of seal housing to provide turning of seal housing around center ob ball surface of housing to maximum angle of seal turning. Diameter of upper hole and diameter of lower hole of ring cavity is less than diameter of ball surface of seal. According to other design version, cap has form of cylinder inside narrowing in its upper part to form hole. Ball part of seal housing is placed between base of flexible locking element installed on neck of container or wall of pipeline and wall of cap hole. Diameters of base and wall of cap hole are less than diameter of ball part of seal housing.

EFFECT: provision of multipurpose seal for container or pipeline, ergonomic, safe and reliable in operation, adaptable to mass production.
