FIELD: carbon materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology of preparing carbon materials with special properties, in particular to fibrous adsorbents capable of removing impurities from solutions and gases, appropriate for use in recovering and refining valuable metals, drugs, in waste water and gaseous emission treatment, and in separation of mixtures. Method comprises dehydrohalogenation of initial halogenated polymeric material in the form of powder, film, of fibers, rinsing with organic solvent and then with water followed by heat treatment in high-pressure chamber with overheated and supercritical liquids therein. Thus obtained carbon material contains 60 to 90 wt % of structural units with sp bonds representing linear carbon chains of types =C=C= or -C≡C-. Material is highly porous and capable of adjusting dimensions of interchain space to dimensions of absorbed of gases and liquids molecules and heavy metal atoms.
EFFECT: enlarged assortment of multigrade adsorbents.
