FIELD: operation of water transport; control of sea-going ships for dangerous approach.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes measurement of coordinates of each ship for estimation of present coordinates and speed vector of each ship. Then, points of maximum approach are determined and minimum distance between ships is compared with permissible magnitude for making decision relative to situation. Besides that estimation of acceleration vector and mean-root-square errors of estimation of acceleration vector of each ship is introduced. Then, decision is taken pertaining to estimation of situation as dangerous or not dangerous taking into account relationship of absolute magnitudes of estimation of acceleration of each ship to respective mean-root-square errors of estimation.
EFFECT: reduction of error in estimation of point of maximum approach of ships whose motion is neither rectilinear nor uniform.
