FIELD: safety equipment, in particular, individual means for protecting of head from strikes.

SUBSTANCE: protective helmet comprises casing with dome-like part equipped with shock-absorbing members formed by changing the shape of surface, and inner equipment. Shock-absorbing members are extending along contour of dome-like part base, have transition zone leading from dome-like part to casing lower part, said transition zone having Z-shaped section, and are arranged above sites of attachment of inner equipment to casing. Narrowing parts are provided in curved portions of transition zone.

EFFECT: simplified construction of helmet casing and increased shock-absorbing capacity of protective helmet.
