SUBSTANCE: protective helmet has casing with shock-absorbing members positioned on casing side surfaces, and inner outfit. Shock-absorbing members are made in the form of ribs with narrowed portions forming pivot joints allowing helmet casing parts to be moved relative to narrowed portions so as to absorb shock energy. Rib edges, which are beveled at their inner side, join one to the other in case of occurrence of impact. Narrowed portions have different thickness.
