FIELD: chemical industry; melt granulators; granulation of materials, granulated trinitrotoluene in particular.
SUBSTANCE: proposed granulator has column filled with cooling liquid and closed with cover, pip union for delivery of melt to basket having perforated bottom; granulator is provided with non-pointed or pointed needles mounted at spaced relation in holes of basket bottom and engageable in pairs by means of straight or V-shaped cross-members located on bottom; axis of needles is shifted relative to axis of basket holes. Basket cover may be provided with branch pipes for delivery and discharge of water steam or hot air.
EFFECT: reduced range of diameters (sizes) of granules of dispersed composition.
